Our Teachers

We are honored to have experienced, energetic, creative and caring teachers!

Lee Ann Delaney

Lee Ann is Trinity Nursery School’s director and teaches in both the three and the four-year-old classes, as well as the Adventure Camp. She attended Northwestern Connecticut Community College for Early Childhood Education and Business and is also an artist and professional musician. She has taught guitar lessons throughout the years. She worked in the offices of Bartlett Tree Experts and White and Katzman Property Management. Lee Ann has collaborated with a variety of early childhood educators to integrate music and movement into their programs (The United Way, Greater Hartford YWCA, Connecticut Parents as Teachers, Torrington and Winsted schools, as well as private family day care centers). She energizes each day with music, rhythm and movement; creates “teachable moments” in language, writing, social studies, math, science, art, dramatic play and physical education. Lee Ann has been teaching at TNS since 2000.

Katy Gentile

Katy teaches our 4-year-old classes and our Summer Adventure Camp. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Russell Sage College in Troy, N.Y., and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Pace University in White Plains, N.Y. Katy taught for 15 years at Horace Mann Lower School, a private school in Riverdale, N.Y. While there, she spent nine years teaching kindergarten, four years teaching second grade, one year teaching first grade and one year teaching a remedial reading program. As the newest member of our teaching staff, Katy is very excited to be teaching where her younger daughter previously attended.

Judy Sharp

Judy is TNS’s Early Childhood Education Consultant. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Connecticut, and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the Educational Center for Human Development. Judy has more than 30 years of preschool educational experience, and was an adjunct faculty member in Northwestern Connecticut Community College. She is published in Who’s Who in America’s Teachers, fifth edition.

Wendy Young

Wendy is the newest member of the teaching staff at Trinity Nursery School and will be a part of the 3s program starting in the fall of 2021. Wendy fell in love with the program at TNS while her sons attended and she began substituting for TNS in 2018. Wendy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from Lehigh University and is currently taking classes in Early Childhood Education. She and her husband, Rob, their two children and two dogs live in Collinsville. Wendy has been an active volunteer in the Canton public schools since 2014 and enjoys the great outdoors with her family, especially hiking, biking and gardening.
