Quick Facts

Trinity Nursery School is a non-sectarian, NAEYC accredited preschool located in Trinity Episcopal Church in Collinsville. We serve 3- and 4-year-old children from Canton, New Hartford, Burlington, Avon, Simsbury, Farmington, Torrington and beyond. Our school offers a developmental program with a curriculum that focuses on the whole child and that is built around each child’s individual stage of development.

Our Classes:

Our 3-year old-classes run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and our 4-year-old classes run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The morning classes meet from 9:00-11:30am, and the afternoon classes meet from 12:30-3:00pm. During the first month of school our 3-year old classes are shortened by one half hour to allow for a smoother transition to nursery school.

Student/Teacher Ratio:

Our 3-year-old classes have 3 teachers with a maximum of 16 children in the AM class and 14 children in the PM class. Our 4-year old classes have 2 teachers with a maximum of 18 children in the AM class and 16 children in the PM class.

Our Calendar:

Our school year begins approximately the second week of September, and ends the third week of May.

Our Adventure Camp begins after Memorial day and runs during the month of June.

Registration and Tuition (2017-18):

Registration Fee – $100.00

3-year-old Tuition – $1,500

4-year-old Tuition – $2,082

Tuition may be paid in full or in 5 payments due April 15, June 15, August 15, October 15, 2016 and January 15, 2018.

Family Involvement:

It is our hope that parents will volunteer for fundraising and other school activities during the school year. We strongly rely on parental assistance and involvement during our largest fundraiser, the Candy Cane Carnival (held in early December). The success of this fundraiser helps to keep our tuition low. We also ask families to provide a large bottle of 100% juice or milk and a snack for their child’s class once a month. Families are also asked to clean the classroom one or two Sundays per year. Parents are not required to help in the classroom, but if you have a special talent or skill that you would like to share with the class you are always welcome to visit.

Parent Volunteer Committee:

The Trinity Nursery School Board directs the daily operations of TNS. Parents are encouraged to volunteer for committee positions including Committee Co-Chairs, Maintenance, Special Events, Fundraising, Candy Cane Carnival, Newsletter, Playground, Publicity, and Classroom Organization and Supplies and Scholarship. All parents are welcome to attend the monthly board meetings which typically meet on the third Wednesday of the month.
